Beautiful Santa Barbara

Liz and Phil's wedding was this past weekend in gorgeous Santa Barbara! I was so blessed to be a part of their special day!  I cannot wait to see what the future holds for you two!

I started my official last Rotation of veterinary school - anesthesia.
I also am continuing the job search and interviews as well as packing my apartment up in preparation for my move!

Another Wanderlust Vacation

I retook the NAVLE on Monday! Fingers crossed that it went much better and I pass this time!  Thank you for all those who wished me luck and gave me tremendous praise ahead of time!

I flew home on Tuesday and ran  a lot of little errands in preparation for Julia's bachelorette party this weekend! More pictures to come next week!

These two weeks for vacation I will be in Charlotte, Hilton Head, Newport News, and Santa Barbara. Quite the adventure!

This week on my exotics roration we saw more raptors, sugar glider, bald eagle, a pelican, turtles, and an assortment of wildlife.  We walked around the Baton Rouge zoo on Wednesday.

This weekend, I will be a studying hermit because I retake the NAVLE on Monday! Wish me lots of luck!

BZEM Rotation

I was in Sacramento this past weekend for a job interview! The scenery and weather was gorgeous, there is a wide variety of restaurants to choose from, and the apartments weren't too bad either. We shall see if my next stop is in California!

For the next two weeks, I will be on the exotics rotation...finally!  I am exhausted because I have already had two on call shifts, although I do wish we were seeing more cases. We have a full room of wildlife, numerous raptors, and several mammals, baby birds and ducks.  I have missed working with raptors; it has been far too long!  It's such a childhood high of giddiness that comes back to me when I get the opportunity to work with one of them. We have seen guinea pigs, rabbits, chinchillas, different species of birds, ferrets, and a hamster.  This just confirms how much I want to work with these fantastic creatures.
