First Round of Exams

Weekend - Volleyball break before studying on Friday, then Adoption Day Saturday but no one was adopted :(  The rest of the weekend was full of studying and cleaning.  Here are some of the ones I've found that need homes!

Monday was our 1st exam of second semester...Physio.  We were actually able to find out our grade by the end of the day too, which lessened some anxiety.  Then studied Parasit the rest of the night.  Also, the premier of all my tv shows are coming up, oh no!  I guess I will need a study break at some point, right? I also got an email from one of our PAWS fosters that the three kittens she was fostering escaped.
Tuesday - Studying parasites during lunch
On Wednesday, we had a long day.  It started with our Parasit Exam, then I had my antaomy tutor, then the Physio exam review.  I then went out to dinner to say goodbye to a friend that is leaving. (Miss you already girl!)  I got another email from a different PAWS foster that her new foster cat escaped as well....ugh...however, she emailed me later and he was just hiding in her kitchen. Whew
Thursday was another long day exhausting with only an hour break.  I had an exam review for Parasit at 10am, speaker for VBMA at lunch, an additional lecture at 4pm, and then tutoring at 5pm.  Glee has been on for two weeks now, but it's still a study break!
Friday at lunch there was a Bayer meeting where we could get a year supply of Advantage.....how fun for my Buffy!  Tonight a group of us are going out to dinner at Spice Mill.  Yum!
This weekend, I'm going on a small getaway to Nevis! Pictures to come in next weeks!

So many cats!

Weekend:
Spice Mill Birthday dinner on Friday night

Saturday was beachfest and I then went to bed early that night since I was so exhausted.

Sunday we had a TA session and I did a little bit of studying.  Three (two cats) of our PAWS animals got adopted out!  Yay!  This means I can add more cats from the waiting list into the program, but also hopefully get more cats adopted out that have been with us too long!
On Monday, we started back to our 8am class routine since our teacher is back from the conference he was at.  Since he was gone, we also had an extra lecture for him today at 4pm, so it was a long day and I have a feeling the beginning of a long week.
Tuesday was a on and off rainy day. Another long break from 11 to 3pm, so I went to the gym and studied.  I also made a kitten run for PAWS and picked up 2 feral kittens.  Later that night I got an email about 3 one week old kittens whose mother was killed....sadly it never ends.
Wednesday was the St Kitts Independence Day and this is the only holiday that Ross University observes, so we did not have any classes.  Instead, a few of us went to the pool for some morning R&R and then out for some Marriott pizza.
Thursday was another long day of classes, tutoring, and picking up kittens!  I wasn't able to get a foster for them for the night, so I had two overnight guests!
Friday, I will be staying in and studying and getting things ready for the adoption event tomorrow.

This weekend is Adoption day (Saturday) and the rest of it, I'll be studying for Physio and Parasit.

Busy Busy Busy

Saturday was Mr Ross, which is always a fun time.  There were some pretty good acts.  Here's a little taste:

Sunday we had a surprise party for Kelli at Banana Bay, which was a nice little getaway for the afternoon, but then it was back to studying.
All this week we don't have Physio, so we are able to sleep in a bit since class starts at 9am.  I then had a cat that I needed to go pick up from a local in order to bring it into the PAWS program.  The medical coordinator looked at it and we set up an appointment for him to see the vet tomorrow, so hopefully he tests ok!  There was also a huge wildfire right outside of campus and the smoke reached our apartment which was pretty bad.  We did get some frozen yogurt for a study break, which was very good!  I can't remember the last time I had any!
On Tuesday we didn't have class until 11am, so it was a nice day to catch up on some sleep and get some more studying in.  We then had class from 3-5pm, so it was still catch up on studying time.  Hokie (what I named the new foster cat) did great, so I was able to place him in a foster home, so hopefully he will do ok there!  Here's his pic:

Thursday was a long day...It went from 9am to 7:30pm.  I had two tutor sessions, one for Physio and one for Anatomy.  Is it the weekend yet??
Friday we had our first Anatomy quiz of the semester.  That night it was two friend's birthday parties at Spice Mill.
Saturday is Beachfest and I will probably be going because I have a feeling it's the only beach time I will get this semester.

2nd semester!!

The semester is already off to a great start when I arrive in St. Kitts on Saturday and wait in customs for one hour, because I chose the slowest line.  Then my luggage did not make it to St. Kitts, it was still in Miami.  I needed a majority of the stuff that was in there too....Welcome back!  Although, the rest of the night went a lot better with dinner at the Beach House.
Sunday I was able to go to the airport and grab my luggage.
Monday was the first day of school!  Physio at 8am, Parasit at 9am, Immuno at 11am, Anatomy at 2pm.  Then I went to the white coat ceremony to support some friends.  That night it was HOKIES night!  A huge group of us went to the Marriott to watch the game!  They decided to tie the game with a minute left to go, then win in overtime...heart attack!
Tuesday we had two hours of Physio (8-10), Anatomy lab (10-11), then a 4 hour break before Parasit Lab (3-5pm).  I actually went home between the break to take a nap since the Tech game went so late Monday night
On Wednesday, we had Physio (8-9), Parasit (9-10), Immuno (11-12), and Anatomy (2-3).  I went to the gym between Immuno and Anatomy and I was so sore the next day!  My friends who were appealing found out their results today, so sadly I am losing a lot of friends to fails and a few friends will be in different semesters.   I had dinner with Kelli that night, and went out to the Marriott to support the friends who did not make it.
Thursday we had Physio (8-9), Parasit (9-10), Anatomy (1-3pm).  Again, in between the break I went home to nap from the late night and then went back to campus for lunch.  I helped with my first foster exchange this afternoon.  One of the cats needed to be rehomed because she wasn't doing well where she was.  I was about to relax and start studying, when I got an email about another cat that will need a home....sigh......I feel like the Energizer bunny this week and I'm running on barely any sleep and lots of caffeine.
Friday we did not have Physio so we were actually able to sleep in!  We had Parasit (9-10), then Immuno (11-12), then anatomy (1-3pm).  I went to the gym again in between the Parasit and Immuno break.  I like going at that time because there isn't many people in the gym then, so I think that will be my new time to go.
Saturday night is Mr Ross!  John Smith is representing blue semester! Sunday I will probably be studying all day!
