Zoe

Today, one of my best friends had to say goodbye to her dog. I have known that dog almost as long as I have known her. The two of them are a package deal. I don't know one without the other.  She made a bucket list for her last few days complete with all of her favorite things from going to the beach and eating everything from burgers to ice cream to cinnamon bread. This has been so hard on my friend and she has been so wonderfully strong throughout it all.  She wrote a beautiful goodbye to her and spent the last day doing Zoe's favorite thing, snuggling and watching "Life of Pi."  The weather today expressed that heaven was just as upset for this day as well.
Losing a pet is never easy, it shouldn't be.  Animals come into our lives to teach us about love and they leave to teach us about loss. It's loosing a friend who was always there for you, a companion in times of loneliness, comfort in a moment of sadness, an every day job that touched your heart. No one will ever love you as unconditionally.  You lose a family member, your loved one, and your best friend all at once. Saying goodbye is one of the hardest things you will ever have to do.
What my friend doesn't know is that at the same time that Zoe was spending her last moments with her mom, I was delivering bad news to a family about their pet.  The family probably thought I had tears in my eyes because of their last moments with their beloved cat, but in reality my mind was in a different place. At least Zoe had something to chase as she was crossing over rainbow bridge.
I hope you know how much you were loved Zoe Bear.

Found a new exciting location this weekend, thanks to my friend Laura! The only down side was that it was raining so we couldn't put the convertible down.

This week my schedule opened up enough for me to check out a dance facility that provided belly dance classes. It was a basic class, but it was so exhilarating to get back to it. Hopefully my schedule will allow for me to go to more because the rhythm has been set free and the gypsy is alive again.

90 Years Young

Last week this remarkable woman turned 90. My grandma is this an incredibly self-less woman who has always put others before herself. She's determined and stubborn, and incredibly brave. I'm so fortunate to have such a role model in my life, words cannot express how much she means to me. I'm grateful I was able to celebrate with her and the rest of my family.

To continue with family tradition, my sister, her husband, and I were able to celebrate 4th of July together as well in the district itself.
