Dancing The Night Away

Your Vet Is Sick Of Your Pets' Names

Trump Administration Officially Clipped The Wings Of The Migratory Bird Treaty Act

I don't know how these weeks just keep getting away from me! There was a few days of gorgeous weather this week, but sadly still dealing with allergies.
How To Be Productive Even When You're Sick

This weekend, my complex had a cooking class, a coworker had a baby shower, had a few glasses of wine at my favorite winery, and I went dancing in D.C. with some other coworkers. Maybe my new for the month of April was going to some Spanish dance clubs in the city.

11th anniversary of VT shootings..... 32 Reasons We Love Virginia Tech

Thanks Frank

Virginia Tech to see Coach Beamer's last home game and a beautiful meeting with my girls! What a beautifully emotional weekend! The excitement of seeing friends That I have not seen in far too long and Who Have always been there with a supporting hand. The intensity of the fight of the game That Went into overtime with 1 minute left in the 4th quarter; ,,,, Although we did not win. The sadness of Coach Frank Beamer's last home game and the memorials That Were put together creatively displayed on the jumbo-tron. The heartache and grief for the victims of April 16th while paying our respects at the memorial. The relaxed feeling in this place That I Realize how much my mind is filled With Peace and my heart is full of love; everything is well within my soul. I feel grounded, centered, and balanced. I can feel that i am Right Where I need to be. When You Realize how perfect everything is, you will tilt your head back and laugh into the sky.

Check out this introduction That was displayed at the start of the game this past weekend:

And of course, we ended up making it in the Roanoke Times:

For Thanksgiving, my family will be heading to the Dominican Republic! Another check off the passport, country list, and before 30 list! The beach (my third home this break) you have-been calling my name for far too long.

FINALS

This weekend was full of studying as well as the meeting for the dog walking on Sunday.  I picked up some PAWS food donations as well.  The food prices for PAWS are increasing next semester and since we have so many pets in the program, we were hoping the current 7th semesters would donate the food they don't need since they are leaving.  We were able to get 8 bags of dog food and 9 bags of cats food so far.
Monday was full of studying, of course!  I also did dog walking in the morning for a 25EC gift certificate.  Yay!
My Physio final was on Tuesday.  No matter what the outcome is, I am done with 2nd semester!  I treated myself to a massage and drinks on the beach :) Today was also the 6 year anniversary of  the VT shootings.

On Wednesday, I dropped Alex off at the airport at 5am, had dog walking, set up room for PAWS cats, received some more food donations and started packing a bit.
On Thursday, I again had dog walking, put cats in room for break, went to Shipwreck beach, and then stayed for end of semester party.  The semester is officially over for everyone!
Friday I leave for South Africa for two weeks!  I'm incredibly excited; this is something I've wanted to do my whole life and I finally get the opportunity to do it!  I won't have access to internet, so I will post all about it along with hopefully tons of pictures when I get back!

Embarrassed for VT

This past weekend was fun and relaxing but also bittersweet since I had to say goodbye to a good friend who went back to the States.  Also, UNC beat VT......what?!?  I know I won't be hearing the end of that one....

Monday was uneventful other than the pouring rain all night long while I fell asleep studying.
Tuesday was again uneventful, full of studying, and more pouring rain.
Wednesday - IMMUNO EXAM!!  I then caught up on my TV shows and had dinner with Jess at Rituals Sushi for her birthday!!

On Thursday, I had a long break from 10 until 2pm.  I studied some and went to the gym, which was much needed since I haven't been all week.
On Friday, I don't get a break like normal.  We have double Physio, so we had classes from 8-12pm, but then I had a tutor session from 12-1pm.  I then have to get to the airport around 1:30 for my 3:30pm flight to Chicago for Jackie and Ryan's wedding on Saturday!  I will get in around 11:30pm and get to see Brittany! Yay!
Saturday I think we are having brunch with my aunt and then Jackie and Ryan's wedding! (Pictures next week)  I will be missing the PAWS adoption day, but hopefully we will have a few cats and dogs find homes!
My flight is early on Sunday.  I have to be at the airport at 3am for my 5am flight.  The wedding ends around 1am, so I doubt I'm getting any sleep that night (Oh well!)  I get back to the island with a little bit of time to study for the Physio exam on Wednesday!  Busy weekend, but hopefully I can get some things done on the plane.
